The La Salle River is a shallow, brown, sluggish stream, flowing quietly and mostley secretly through Winnipeg. There aren't as many cars and shoppingcarts in it as there used to be, and the water is quite clear thesedays. There`s a population explosion of beaversgoing on which is filling the river with felled trees instead, and every now and then heavy rain rearranges things a little; in summer the weeds grow so thick that it seems there is no open water at all. It teems with life that can`t be seen.
