Without a Friend

It's hard to get along alone,
in this world without a friend,
without the helping heart to guide you,
without a hand to lend.

Noone with a shoulder to cry on,
Noone whom with letter's you can send,
yes life is hard and difficult,
if you don't have a friend.

When times are tough and things get rough,
noone there to guide you through,
you look around and realize,
there's nobody there but you,

So for someone to love and care about,
and your heart you can lend,
it's tuff and rough to beat the buff,
if you're without a friend.
